Erik will have his trach in for several more days while the swelling in his mouth decreases. He's a pretty good communicator with ESL... Erik Sign Language! And of course he's good with a pen and paper. He's getting his nourishment via feeding tube. It's amazing to me how far medical advances have come. We give credit to our Heavenly Father who helps man have the knowledge and the persistence to continue with research and learning. We are blessed.

Day 3~Sunday
Erik had a decent night last night. Little improvements are monumental. And that is happening. The swelling is going down a little more and Erik is looking more like himself. He has loved all the notes that were sent up to him (from his facebook). Thanks for bringing him cheer, Brooke. Once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader.
