Day 3~Sunday pm

Erik was able to move from ICU to a regular floor room.  He has been up a few times with a walker about 6 steps and is able to put a small amount of pressure on his left leg (the one they used for the bone graft, skin petal and skin graft).   Quite a rough day, though, for the most part.  He just didn't feel well.  He is still progressing... he's doing so well!  He's so tough and strong and is enduring!

Dennis' sister and family, the Young's, brought up Sunday dinner (roast & potatoes) to Dennis and I.  They have been wonderful to put us up at nights when needed. They have been so gracious even with their busy schedules and an upcoming wedding.  Dennis has been staying in the room with Erik at nights.  They can accommodate family members for overnight stays.  They have a comfy long couch in the ICU rooms and a pull out couch in the regular rooms that is a little bigger for both of us to stay if we want. I have been going back and forth to Farmington the last few days but will stay up here with Dennis and Erik tonight.  It's hard leaving Erik, so I am glad to stay.

We have enjoyed meeting Erik's visitors that stop in.  Some of them we know already and some we only know their names and where they are from.  It's nice to put a face with a name.  Facebook and cell phones are a wonderful way to keep in touch with people you meet through the years, like  from his Freedom Academy (leadership training camp) and EFY and other things.
