Friday la lalla Friday! It's Friday! la la la (in my best singing voice)

Erik says this song "Friday" is really annoying... but I couldn't help myself thinking about it as I am enjoying the day already.  The sun is shining... oh how I love sunshine.  I need to go out a work in the yard!  wooo hooo.... so much funner than vacuuming, in my opinion.  I remember when Brooke was a teen and we all had chores assignments, even yardwork.  I traded her several times to work in the yard and her to do laundry or something inside.  She was very willing and happy.

Brooke had a birthday this past week.  She's a lovely young mom now with a great husband and cute little baby. Time is surely flying by quickly.  It seems as if it were yesterday when she was jumping rope singing memorized nursery rhymes with her hair up in a side pony.  She has always been a great memorizer and a fast thinker.  That's prob why her accounting skills are so awesome.

Well, the latest and greatest:  Erik has been able to go to school for a few days all day long!  (The CHS office is going to surely miss me calling in to excuse him for one class period or another.)  And he has been able to kick the drugs so he can drive himself places.  His pain levels are minimal.  Still takes some ibuprofen once in awhile.  AND he is able to turn his neck more and more.  So important to look both ways when crossing the street when driving!

The other latest... but not so greatest:  Poor Justin.  Poor poor Justin.  6 weeks on crutches.  We went to the podiatrist yesterday and surely enough he has fractured one of the bones in his left foot.  Its an important growth plate bone.  So he needs to be careful and follow the doctor's instructions to a T.  He's living with the idea of crutches and not putting any weight on it because.... no lawn mowing... no garbage duty.... walking the dog, etc. etc.  And now Erik has a nintendo playing buddy!  haha... jk.  Erik is doing well, still needs to rest often.  Justin is getting some attention from all this.  mmmm.... I love it when my boys have friends that make really yummy treats to bring as a get well wish!

So how did J do this crazy thing?  He didn't do it on purpose.... even though it seems it to be so cuz Erik has been the focus lately. haha.... The timing is not so good.... no spring soccer.  And no triathalon competion in June that he was training for.  But hey.... he has a great free throw shot for basketball and would make a great competitor in arm wrestling in the Utah Summer Games.... so I'm thinking by then that his arms will just be that much stronger from using crutches.  Oh, to answer the often asked question of "how'd ya do it?"  Playing basketball (dunking) at a friends house on a trampoline in their indoor sports court.  oops.  Kinda funny how Justin got hurt last year at this same friend's house last year when he tore his MCL in his knee.  Boys will be boys!

He got a temp cast put on yesterday and will get another one put on next Monday.  Amazing how they cast now.  Quite facinating.  J is our only one that ever had to have a cast put on.  Everyone else escaped their childhood with only sprains or stitches.

Looking forward to General Conference weekend and all the inspiring words.  What a blessed people we are to have the gospel here on this earth to guide us in all we do and especially parenting.  I love my kiddos even more each day as I watch them grow up and mature and embrace life.  I have loved watching little Camden several days a week.  What a great big spirit he has in his little body.  His personality is really starting to come out.  He is pretty mobile now.  Oh, ya... close the doors to rooms and put up the gate on the stairway!  I am still contemplating whether I should take the handle off the fireplace doors.  He has discovered them!  It seems like not too long ago that we just put them back on after J got to be old enough to play in the fireplace!

Books and more books!

 Little Cammo loves books!
He has absolutely loved playing with Erik's helium balloons.... for minutes upon minutes!  And that's pretty good for a baby's attention span.  Tim and Brooke just know what to get him for his first birthday coming up.
An accomplishment of mine..... of all Ashley's accomplishments

Ya... so the dog likes me.  I was laying on the couch reading and he helped himself to laying in the crevice of my body and snuggling.  Awe... how sweet.  Just wish he was this sweet with everyone.  He's often referred to as the "savage beast".  He's a little dog with a big fiesty bark followed by attack!  haha
