Spring has Sprung
The grass has ris
Ha right here....oh yeah, oh yeah!
Celebrate...It's spring!
I love my tulips... they are so colorful!
Go get 'em J! He's playing fetch/chase with Cork...
SUU Track Meet in Cedar...It was so cold on Friday night. Ikes! This is Ash in her UnderArmor.
Ashley didn't have such a good race Friday night....her body just gave out...on the 2nd mile around. She kept on giving it her all, like a champion and made it across the finish line. She was wasted and it took some time to recover.
But Saturday, the Sun came out and it was 50+ degrees warmer! This is Dennis and I soaking up the sun and cheering on the runners at Saturday's track meet! Love the SUN! oh, yeah!

Ashley doesn't run...she FLIES! Notice her feet aren't touching the ground! Awesome!
But Saturday was a new day, she gave it her all, like usual, and ran a great mile and a great 800. She did great considering she had such a busy week and a really hard race in the cold Friday night.
Ashley...you go girl!
Class elections are this week. Ash is running for Sr. Class prez and Erik is running for Jr. Class prez. We had a poster making party Sunday and put my cricut to use. It was fun! I loved helping them make their posters, cuz I love to "play" with my cricut (electronic die cut machine).
I still like the slogan "Let's make history...Elect the first GRAY president" but they both thought it was too borderline and didn't use it...oh, well. The voting will commence on Friday. We'll see what happens...actually Erik is it! He didn't have anyone run against him...so he is the Jr. Class Pres. It will be official after Friday. (Yes, we get to help with Jr. Prom again next year!)
Erik is doing great. He's able to eat more foods now. His taste buds are returning. He is still unable to eat frozen foods, like ice cream and such and spicy foods sting his throat. He still has a water bottle by his side all the time. His mouth is continually dry. But he is healing! His energy is returning and he spent a lot of time at the track meet both Friday night and Saturday, then hung out with friends on Saturday night. He was pretty tired on Sunday, but made it to all 3 meetings for church. That was our stipulation for hanging out on Sat night anyway. He had a doctor's followup appointment this week. Everything looks goods and Dr. Donaldson is pleased that he is healing so well. We see Dr. Pearson (ENT specialist) in between appointments with Dr. D (the oncologist). So about every 6 weeks, he'll have a followup appt with one of the doctors. They are really keeping tabs on him, which helps his mom (me) feel good about things. They will do a scan in the end of July or so to see if the cancer is gone. Erik is going to beat this thing. He will be a Cancer Survivor!
