Sunshine and Lollipops

I never said it would be easy,
I only said it would be worth it.

This week has been rough for Erik.  He continues to just make it through each and every day.  He has special lotions and creams to help his skin.  He has quite the spring time tan on his neck and lower face....just 15 minutes, 5 days a week will do that to you.  However, it's a thousand times more expensive than a tanning bed...ha ha... and thank heavens for health insurance.  He has dropped some more weight and is really really trying his best to get food/nutrition/protein down.  Erik has these cool lollipops.  They numb his mouth for about 30 minutes so that foods don't sting and irritate.  They are  Tetracaine Lollipops...awesome...but only through a prescription and are specially made.  They are red, but a lemon-lime flavor...like a mystery flavor!  They are helping Erik.  He is careful not to leave them around...can you imagine if little Cork (our chihuahua) got a hold of one of them?  So...we can all see the light at the end of the tunnel...it's getting brighter.....just like the spring sunshine!  5 more treatments!  March 24th is coming closer!

I love the sun!  I love the warmth it brings!  I love how it is melting the final snow patches left lying around.  Now, all my tulips are poking through the ground and will be blooming just about Easter time.  Love it!  I love my flowers!  The only thing bad about the snow melting is that it uncovered Buddyville....ewww!  Big dogs make big messes....and he likes to chew not only on bones but on plastic.  It keeps him from chewing up the deck... crazy dog!  After an hour in the sunshine, cleaning up, Buddyville is looks so much better!

March Madness also brings March spring baseball tournaments...we're excited to have my brother in law, Steve Young and my nephew, Brandon come south to play baseball this weekend in a St. George tournament.  We're excited to see them!
