Let the Healing Begin!

Yesterday was a day of celebration!  It was Erik's last day of treatment!  He was even awarded a certificate from his doctor and staff!  I greeted him with balloons and a butterfinger chocolate eggs he can set aside to eat in a few weeks (when he feels up to it)  And at the infusion clinic where he received his two hour drink of re hydration...they gave him a "popper" to help celebrate!   His radiation burnt skin (inside and out) can now start to heal.  Yeah!  With all this intense radiation...I'm sure the cancer is zapped....but we will know in several months.

Justin did such a nice job on his science fair project!  He talked about Erosion and showed what happens when water turns to ice and expands.  Good work!

So...there's never a dull moment....crazy life we live!  Our septic backed up into our basement.  Yuck...thank heavens it was mostly bath water and laundry water....so it wasn't too bad.  But never the less...we had to mop up

lots of water and pull up the carpet along the hallway....call Brad (BL Excavating) and plead for HELP!  He helped find the problem without too much damage to the landscaping.  Now the basement is airing out...we can do laundry and have normal length showers and baths and run the dishwasher....thank heavens for quick acting friends!   And thank heavens to Justin for noticing water in the basement bathroom before going to bed!
