Boo hah! for snow. Because it's cold and slippery and in the way. Dennis doesn't like it either. It's hard to build homes and buildings in it and his back hurts more when it's colder. His body is a barometer. He can always tell us when the weather is changing because he feels it in his bones. The snow also gets in the way of travel. Ashley and Hayden's Provo trip (SUU Track) was delayed because of the snowy conditions last night. But it was fun to have Karen, Hayden' mom, and Hayden's cousin with Hayden and Ashley all stay here last night. Their original plan was to head up to Provo Thurs eve, but decided it was safer to leave early this morning. Snow can be a burden...
BUT... we need it! We need snow. We need it to help fill up the reservoirs and ensure the wells don't need to be drilled lower. It is also great because there are people who absolutely LOVE it! Like a few of my children. When I see my children happy and the things that make them happy, then so be it! I am happy too. So....even though deep down, I don't like the snowy cold... I like it because it makes Justin and Erik happy.... they love the snow. Sledding is fun. Driving the four wheeler in it is fun. Snowboarding and skiing are fun! The snow is beautiful. And we are blessed to know how to use a snow shovel. haha And we are blessed to have a four wheeler with a plow that works! haha Another thing... the dogs like the snow. They are fun to watch prancing through it! :)
Erik is doing well. His infection has cleared up and the drainage site has closed. Yeah! So it doesn't need to be packed with gauze anymore. Phew. It's kinda weird. I've always heard about a wound being "packed". But now I've seen first hand what it's all about. I can't watch... let's put it that way. And for that matter... anything that inflicts pain or discomfort upon my child is painful to me. Even though I know that it's a necessary procedure. We are excited that he is recovering. Every day he feels a little better. AND because the infection site is cleared up... he was able to take a "real" shower. He still can't get his leg wound wet. Thank you Justin... for having a broken foot last spring. Erik can use his rubber boot in the shower to keep his leg dry. :) Oh, happy day!
