Party on

It's 9:40 at night.... phew.... what a day.  Sitting down for the first time taking a deep breath.  What a nice day.  Well, kinda.  It's hard to serve in a church calling... get to really love it.... love the ladies you serve with and especially the young women.... then you get released.  I cried.  I couldn't even look at the young women without tearing up.  It's been wonderful serving in Young Womens.  I hope they invite me back often.  But I guess it's time now to focus all my attention on my family.  My family really has been my focus anyway in the last 5 weeks.  So it's really not fair to keep delegating all to the other leaders.  And the girls need a leader that's able to be there.  The new YW president is amazing with all the other ladies.... the girls are in great hands!  :)

We had a fun family fast Sunday dinner and evening tonite with the kids.  Once a month we love all the kids to come out and eat and spend time talking, playing games, eating, getting entertained by Camden... and on and on.  Tonite we celebrated Chris and Tim and Erik's birthdays.  We just keep partying!

And speaking of partying.... Erik was given a surprise party last night.  We spread the word around to just show up about 8pm in the evening.... and wow!  Erik was truly surprised.  He got to hang out with lots of friends for awhile.  That was a boost.  His energy levels are pretty slim.  He rests quite a bit.  So this was very cool!

It was girls day out for shopping on Saturday.  Allie and Brooke and I went with Ashley to St. Geo for the day.  We met Hayden's mom, Karen, too.  And Grandma P joined us for lunch and for another bridal shop appointment.  This appt was KEY!  After trying on lots of wedding dresses... Ashley found the "perfect" dress!  So it was a lot of fun to be there with her.  She's so happy.  She's so excited!  Hayden's a pretty cool guy.  It was nice to get to know Karen better too.  We shopped for some of the other wedding needs too.  It was a successful day.  The girls wore me out!

Erik's surgery day in on Tuesday!  Yeah!  With it being changed a few times.... we are just willing to do whatever.  They do take such good of him.  It's great that Dennis is able to take time off from work to be there, too.  When Dr. Bentz mentioned it would be a one night hospital stay or maybe two... Erik smiled and his eyes lit up!  Only a day or two.  Wooo hooo!  After this surgery... it's a matter of waiting to hear the pathology reports... then we go from there.

The weather outside is so much more bearable.  I can't believe that southern Utah weather is trying to be like Idaho weather.  Growing up in Idaho was great... good memories.  But the cold is one that I try not to remember.  So happy it's warmed up a little.  I do like the beautiful layer of snow covering the ground... not too bad!

Happy Birthday Erik... tomorrow!
