In the meantime....

No new news about Erik and Target therapy and other treatment options.

In the meantime:

He had another Chemo treatment last week.  Is feeling the effects a little more this time.  He is able to manage the nausea, but is so tired.  He said he would take zero energy and tiredness over nausea any day.

Spent a good portion of the day in the St. George ER.  (They have radiologists on hand to perform the specialties that radiologists perform... like a Thoracentesis) Erik noticed it was time to drain again.  They did an xray and thought it could wait a few days.  It was good to do bloodwork and a CT scan to rule out any other problems.  We were good to go after 5.5 hours.  Thank heavens for Harry Potter weekend on TV and fully charged smart phones.  It was nice to come home to a clean house.  Thank you Dennis and Justin.

Sunday was a good day.  Erik made it to church and shared his testimony talking about what's most important.  Family and the gospel.

He doesn't like the 4 day chemo.  I don't blame him.  He's hooked to a small pump in a fanny pack for 96 hours.  Makes bathing a little tricky.  Sunday at 1:30 was his appt time to turn back in the pump and get unhooked from the infusion. He has named it a swear word.  I told him it might sound better to just call it
"Mr. B"... but afterall ... he can swear once in awhile.

The game cube and wii games are a Godsend... along with Netflix and DVRed movies and episodes of the "The Middle".  Fun times!

Family visits and friend visits have helped too.

We look forward to our next Dr appt on Sept 21 when they will do a PET scan and probably have the results from the biopsy about other treatment options.

Justin got some great pictures back... some school pictures and football pictures. What a handsome dude!

Hayden is in Bulgaria.  Yes... the amazing mountain running man!  He is on the USA team and will compete on Sept 11.  GOOD LUCK and enjoy your European Adventure!

Grandkids are the best!
I am feeling so blessed to have them live nearby!

The BANK is almost finished.  Precision Development has done it again.
Another wonderful building!
