Southbound Escape for the weekend....
We needed to escape for the weekend...we chose Zions and St. George Oct 23/24. It's not a far drive and somewhat warmer! Toy Story 3 was fun to watch on the giant IMax screen Saturday night. Dennis hadn't seen it yet and the rest of us didn't mind at all watching it again. Such a FUN movie! Disney's Toy Story movies are a favorite in the Gray Family. It was Justin's favorite as a toddler, so I'm sure we have all the lines memorized. We are anxious for Toy Story 3 to come out on DVD. We got lots of R and R Saturday and Sunday. We traveled through Zion's Park, enjoying the beauties of it and taking pictures. On Sunday, we
ate our picnic lunch of sandwiches in St. George, above St. George on the ridge. That's where the other pictures were taken. We spent the afternoon at the Temple's Visitor's Center and visiting with my parents. It was interesting to me that there are many French Speaking Missionaries called to serve at the St. George visitors center. It is because they love to visit the National Parks nearby and also end up touring the Temple Grounds...and while we were there...yes, a Bus load of French tourists were learning about the Gospel via French Speaking missionaries. Dennis, being a missionary in Switzerland, mentioned this very thing about how the Europeans know about America's Zion's Park and Grand Canyon and love the natural beauties, so it makes sense that the Church would provide missionaries to speak in their language when they came to see the Temple and the history of St. George. I should have gotten my camera out for some pic of the us on the Temple grounds...but by then, everyone was tired of me, the mom, taking pictures. I can only push my luck so far..... haha
