Outpatient Surgery

Erik was excited... we were all excited... that it was only an outpatient surgery last Wednesday.  None of this "staying over night" stuff.... yay!  He did great.  The surgery went well.  They made a new incision to remove the tumor.  Erik stayed out at the house a few nights and then went back into his college abode.  I ended up texting him and checking up on him quite often because he simply wasn't around for me to know.  He's doing great.

A followup appt is scheduled for next Tuesday.  We changed his "teeth" appt to that day also.  It was scheduled for tomorrow, the 20th.  This makes it nice to make one trip for two appointments.  It is also nice because many professors don't do much, and some cancel classes just before Thanksgiving.  The only drawback is that Erik's "teeth" appt, they are trimming inside his mouth....yes, stitches, two days before the biggest "eating" day of the year.  Erik is a trooper and doesn't complain.

Justin started wrestling season.  6 am conditioning before school and practice immediately after school until 5:30pm.  Rigorous schedule.  No wonder wrestlers are tough.

Today was a good day for Justin... a RED LETTER day for him.  His orthodontist appt went well and after he left today... he came out with bare teeth!  He got his braces off.  Hooray!

I am listening to Richard Paul Evans' audio book of  "Miles to Go"  in "The Walk" series.  Another good read.  Or "good listen" if you want to get technical.
