We did make an unscheduled trip up to Huntsman this past week. Erik's jaw started hurting last Friday night and started swelling up on one side. His no teeth side. We were on the phone the good part of Sunday morning with on call E.N.T. and him calling Dr. Buchmann for reference. (Because Dr. Hunt is on vacation) We are getting to know almost all the E.N.T docs and the residents. Quite fun. They concluded that an antibiotic should be started immediately followed up with an appt. And importantly, move up the scheduled CT scan to this week. Wednesday came and we met with Dr. Buchmann and they figured it was an infection....nothing cancer cell related....phew! They had a moment to look over the CT scans and couldn't see anything too crazy and odd, so we were somewhat relieved on Wednesday. We knew we still need to wait for the official read from the radiologist and were very glad for a phone call this morning with Good News!
Congrats to my parents on their 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration!!!! My family got together for a Reunion in the Park up in Highland last Saturday. My parents are also celebrated their 80th birthdays. Woo hoo!!! I got to drive them up and back. We had a nice drive both ways. It was fun chatting the whole way. My dad shared more details to the stories of his life. It was good! We stayed in a motel Friday night. It was really good that our kids could all go, too. With their busy schedules with their jobs and Hayden and Ashley's Youth Track Program, it was good that they were able to go.
