Summer work is over! Dennis helped Chris drive back from Houston, Texas. They stopped in Austin and had a donut. Wow... everything is BIGGER in TEXAS! They drove straight through and surprised us by bounding through the door at 11am today (Sunday). Their plan was to stay overnight in Denver and catch 5 hours of sleep, but decided to just do it! Chris has one happy fiance, too! We gave Allie a bridal shower on Thursday evening and she has been staying here with us, moving things into their new apartment, gathering last minute books and materials for the start of a new college semester and waiting for the hours to tick by that she would get to see Chris again! It has been quite a summer with them being apart. Just a few short weeks and they will tie the knot and be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. How exciting it is around here!
