August!

So where did the summer go?  Ok.... its still summer, but cruising down the aisles in Walmart and other such places are focused on 'back to school' and the shelves are filled with school merchandise!  And college merchandise to cater to the SUU students.  School does start in 2 weeks.  ouch.  There is one advantage for school starting... it's called 'back to schedule'.  It's nice to piddle and be spontaneous during the summer months... and then it's nice to get back into a routine.  So here we go.

Dennis celebrated his birthday over a period of two days.  Since he is involved in scouting and I am involved in YW....well, you know.  Our schedule revolves around these teens.  That's the way it goes.  And its all good.  Dennis had a nice b day lunch on his b day at his office with the family.  The night of his bday was scouts and yw and Dennis did get to go fishing.... perfect timing to finish up the Fishing Merit Badge.  So that's cool.  The next night we had his favorite  - steaks on the grill and dirty mashed potatoes with gravy.  And of course, cake and ice cream.  You know you are getting old when it takes two packages of candles and it's easier to subtract one or two than counting all the candles individually!  haha

Dennis survived Scout camp and I survived girls camp.  We are now switching into high gear for the upcoming wedding!  So excited for Chris and Allie.  Chris comes home next weekend from Houston.  It will be nice having him around again even if it is just a couple of weeks.  I'm glad they are both going to SUU to have them close by.
