Diving Pets

Justin's new pets....

We got a great deal on the tank....it pays to listen to Tradio.  It's a 30 gallon tank with two filters and a heater.  After a little scrubbing, it looks and runs like new.

 Their names are 'Crush' and 'Squirt'.  They are both about 4-6 inches.  They will grow to a larger size.  One is a Colombian Map Turtle and the other is a Red Slider. You can see the Red Slider in the above picture.  He has red ears.

 Justin's room.... if you look closely, you can see the two turtles off to the right... one on the very right on the rock and the other bridging the gap between the rock and the sunken ship.  At the top front, they have a deck to sun on.  They are both a little shy still and jump off and swim to the back when you come near the aquarium.

The "feeders".... ouch....Turtle food.... just waiting to share the big aquarium with the turtles....swim fast fishies!  and hide or your day is ended!  And we used to have goldfish for pets....so sad...but that's life, if you're a gold fish.  Turtles also like vegetables and crickets.  Justin has some nutrition power packed Turtle food to feed them too.  He would like to see them grow big.  He's a very responsible pet owner and doing a great job so far.  And I'm thinking it will last for more than a few months after the 'newness' wears off.
