The Xcountry season is underway. Ash is Cedar's top Varsity runner has been one of the top 3 finishers each race and is feeling good. Her competition is Pine View and Deseret Hills.
Erik is on JV and keeps improving with each race and is just an amazing runner! He has an amazing kick at the end. This is his first time running XC and is doing well. Even though his throat still hurts at times, he continues to feel better and progress with the healing process. Dry mouth is an issue, but he has found a certain chewing gum from the Healt
h Food store that is awesome and helps when he is running. ("Spry" is the name. It helps provide xylitol that our teeth need.) He doesn't carry a water bottle while running...so this works. The next race is here in Cedar sponsored by SUU this coming Saturday. Good Luck kiddos! My garden is flourishing! I'm so excited about it. My tomatoes are starting to ripen and are looking very yummmm. The plants are the tallest I've ever been able to grow anything. Good soil is key....and also location! They have been able to survive wind and hail storms. We've been eating cilantro and onions and peppers and beans from the garden. It makes me happy knowing I can grow something from a tiny seed or plant and watch it do it's thing. I love summer!
