We took a trip to DisneyLand and California Adventure. It was really fun! Good memories! We got a Park Hopper Pass for two days. We were able to see everything we wanted and more. We were able to do quite a few things several times. With the ability of fast passes and the two parks... we stretched ourselves to the limits by going back and forth...and it was so worth it! Justin was out of school for UEA and Harvest Break and Ash and Erik had to miss a little bit of college classes, but were out of school part of the time for Harvest Break, too. We played hard... then rested on the Sabbath. We slept in... watched conference talks on lds.org, then took a drive to see some of the sights. Newport Beach Temple was only 20 minutes away providing an easy go on the freeway system... However, we landed ourselves on a toll road. Good thing there is spare change floating around in the car. The unmanned machine didn't take a debit card. We found the temple. It was quite unique. There wasn't a visitor's center to meander through... but we were able to see the grounds and beauty around it. We walked along the beach... enjoying the sights and smells and sounds of the ocean. Looking for any shells that might be leftover from the moring's high tide was slim... but we found a few that were overlooked by previous beachcombers. It was a restful day. While some took a second nap for the day... others read, watched movies, browsed the internet or wrote in journals. Of course, we had to play a few family games... "Ticket To Ride" is a favorite! Thanks to Chris and Allie for house sitting for us... taking care of pets and mail and such made our trip enjoyable, knowing that all was well at home. Now it's back to the routine feeling all energized and ready to take it on again!
Now here are a bazillion pictures...
