We celebrated by taking a Cruise out of Long Beach, over to Catalina, then down south into International waters to the port at Ensenada, Mexico. A four night, five day adventure... just the two of us, well, almost. Us and 2,600 other people!

Oh, baby! He's gorgeous! aint he?!
The Ocean's sea life. Ahhh... how cute. It's a sea lion. He/She had lots of friends barking in the bay. I wonder if they were greeting us or telling us to go away!
So much food!
Every night after our dinner, we came back to our cabin to see the lights dimmed, our bed linens pulled back with a creative towel design with the next day's itinerary.
Our Cruise Ship... we docked at Catalina Island and Ensenada.
Ensenada, Mexico
The residents in Ensenada are proud of their Mexican flag. It is huge. We were told it weighs 500 pounds. (That's some sturdy flag pole.) I can't remember how large it is... I just remembered the fact that it is pretty darn heavy and it would take more than two boy scouts to retrieve it.
We took a tour bus to La Bufadora to the "Blow Hole" Quite cool. Like a geyser just shooting up through the rocks.
It comes up then goes down... all by itself!
Justin! You could make money being a percussionist in
La Bufadora! haha
We were very popular on this street in the open air market. Holy cow... so many deals being offered to us. And one man said, "Be nice to the Mexican. Come and see in my shop. You like a purse?". Haha.... They were so very hungry for American cruise ship shoppers. We did buy a few things and got some great deals.
Such humble dwellings. My goodness. It made me feel so wealthy and spoiled comparing our home life to theirs. I am envious of their oceanfront property, though. Such a beautiful sight for them to see every day.
More towel creations!
Our nightly dinner group with our waiter and his assistant.
We took the scenic route home. Instead of taking 1-15, we took the 405 to the Antelope Valley Freeway 14 to Lancaster where be bought our very first home. Quite a cute lil dwelling. Not so cute anymore. Well, the house is cute... a different color, but the neighborhood looks way different. Many of the homes are bright colors and quite unique! haha The trees are all much taller. They should be after 20 years. haha We don't miss it. We love Cedar.
Our home on Ivesbrook Street. I wonder how long it took for them to paint over my colorful dinosaurs I painted in Chris' bedroom and the Mickey and Minney I painted in Brooke's room... ahhhh, memories. And I wonder how many owners it has had over the years....
The Eldorado Ward. Our church for 4 years. We made some great friends in which we keep in touch with several of them still.
And this is where it all began for Chris and Ashley. They were both born in this hospital.
We had a nice adventure! The weather was great and it was just fun to spend time with each other. It's always nice to go away on a vacation and it's always nice to go back home. The kids were very responsible and didn't burn the house down... so that's good. LOL More importantly... they were all safe. And we were too, as we traveled.
